Balrion is a solitary ranger from the deep forests of Raven's Nest—a man more at home beneath towering pines than within city walls. Quiet, precise, and calm in a way that unsettles some, Balrion is the kind of figure who speaks only when necessary—and always with purpose.

About
Little is known about his past, though it’s said he was raised by the High Raven of Raven's Nest after a fire claimed his family farm when Balrion was 12. He rarely speaks of it. He left to settle near St. Stylinson, but settled in the Dargwood where he developed an interest in archeology and history. Now, he wanders the wilderness with the ease of someone who has known hardship and found peace in the wild. Some call him a protector. Others whisper that he’s a watcher—keeping track of movements and changes no one else sees.
Balrion has been seen aiding the Defenders of Mundus during moments of great crisis, often appearing just when needed most. He speaks with reverence of the old ways and occasionally references saints and spirits rarely mentioned in the cities. Though he denies belonging to any political faction, he’s recently shown interest in the wellbeing of Prince Ethian and has expressed concern for the Empire’s fragile future.
Recently, he has built a new house near Gandry. His house is called The Perch.

Rumors
They say Balrion has access to ancient intelligence records, and may know more about the current crisis than even the Senate. Some believe his arrows are blessed by Saint Nerva herself. Others simply believe he listens—to the trees, the birds, and the wind—and the world answers him in return.
A Mundus Reborn
Balrion formed a friendship with Lateindahaus after a battle in Raven's Nest. He built his home in the areas between Raven's Nest and Gandry, overlooking Late's lands. At one point, after Khaffe Hushstep triggered an event with Rathsern, Balrion was taunted by the Dark One as hiding "secrets," though it is unknown what their connection is at this time.
Loopbreaker
Balrion was recently seen in Kingsvalley prior to the Netherkind attack on the city, speaking with Groggle about Duke Cedric, urging them to seek safety. He also seems to know Caelan Valeheart, a mysterious wanderer who escaped the Nether recently.
