About
Not much is known about Nightwings Butt. He doesn’t often talk about himself and the little he does is contradictory. It is assumed his name is a pseudonym and his real name is kept hidden either out of safety or shame. Where did he get his ridiculous name? Some nonsense about his mother having a sword with Nether energy. No one has ever heard of this sword. And the butt part? Well…swords have butts, maybe he thinks that’s funny.
Talking about his parents doesn’t help. He claims his mother was the head of a mercenary band from Castrum Noctis; no record of said band or stronghold exists. He can’t keep the story straight about his father: so far he has been a cobbler from St. Niam, a sailor from Kingsvalley, a miner from Evergreen, a librarian from Grelian, a farmer from Grasped Hollow, a fisherman from Gandry, and on and on and on…sailor from Kingsvalley seems to be the most consistent story until one remembers Kingsvalley is landlocked.
One has to wonder what those parents were even doing. He has shown little knowledge of the Aetherian faith, the Royal family, politics, geography, or basic Mundusian history. Yet somehow despite his lack of knowledge everything on Mundus seems to happen around him; he has been Spoken to by the Four, and the Dark One, he has triggered multiple Dark Energy events, he has met time displaced wanderers, and might have caused the area north of Raven’s Nest to turn into a Nether fortress headed by Scribe.
Notable Traits
- Often seen surveying Fort Shagogbot from her perch atop the redoubt
- Wields the sister sword (Shagogbot Savior) to a certain MP’s sword
- Enjoys baking the Fort’s specialty: Shagogbot cookies
- Once raced the entirety of Ironwood to Fort Shagogbot on horseback to see how long it’d take “for fun”
Rumors
Some say you can hear Win’s voice crying on the wind when a door is left open anywhere in Directionland: “Close the doors!” She may also be aware of some of Directionland’s previous “pasts.”
