Crowley attempted a coup on the Empire. Though it was not met with success, it led to severe damage, including the explosion of the [[Senate]] in [[St. Stylinson]], the disappearance of the royal family, and chaos throughout the realm. Many forces rallied against Crowley's attempts, with [[Eastern Directionland]], [[St. Niam]], St. Stylinson, and [[Western Directionland]] vowing to protect the Emperor, and [[Simonville]] siding with Crowley. Ironwood was split between the forces loyal to the Emperor, such as the [[Knights of the Four Lions]] and Royal Guard, and the Chancellor's personal army.

Later, Crowley was encountered in the Nether during a rescue mission for [[Irian Balewood]], where the [[Defenders of Mundus]] fought against him and presumably killed him—though it has never been confirmed.
