Ranalia Ysmarin, often referred to as “The Gods’ Steward” or “Saint of the Forests.” Believed to have lived in the area now occupied by Ironwood, back when it was a dense, ancient forest. Legends suggest she possessed a unique bond with nature, able to “whisper to trees” and command roots and vines.
One night, she rescued an injured soldier beset by Netherkind. With a mere whisper, she caused the forest roots to ensnare the creatures, sparing the soldier’s life. Alarmed by rumors of a mortal with divine powers, the Grand Seer dispatched a delegation—but Ranalia had vanished. Her home lay in ruins, apparently overtaken by twisted roots and flowers.Though never formally encountered by the Church, Ranalia was declared one of the “Gods’ Stewards” by the Grand Seer and canonized as Saint Ranalia. Her body was never found. According to legend, she was blessed with eternal life and might still roam Mundus, unaware of her saintly abilities.

Whispers persist that Ranalia is merely “sleeping,” living incognito. Some believe she retains the power to restore Light Energy in places overrun by darkness, making her a figure of renewed interest in times of rising Dark Energy.
