History

St. Niam was originally an independent duchy before the unification of the Directionland Empire. St. Niam was relatively poor at the time, but offered what they could to ensure the Empire could be established. St. Niam was known for its vast vegetable fields, growing carrots and potatoes. Most of the farmland was unfortunately lost in the Great Fire of Niam 140 cycles ago, but their past is still reflected in their coat of arms, which features a potato plant.

During the War of the Empires, Imperial Engineers from St. Niam constructed the TNT Trebuchet, a revolutionary siege weapon.
