The coat of arms is the original coat of arms of the first ruling royal family of St. Stylinson—[[House Durias]]. When Directionland was formed, King Ethian IV of St. Stylinson of House Durias was elected Emperor, becoming Emperor Ethian of Directionland. This is why Directionland’s coat of arms contains elements of St. Stylinson’s coat of arms. The Stylinson lion is also used as the Imperial sigil.
When [[House Durias]] was elected as the new Imperial Family, Gandry’s royal family voluntarily stepped down, ending the reign of House Y’thelia for the greater good of the Empire.

History

Gandry was once a proud kingdom in the realm of Directionland. Gandry’s specialty was wolf breeding, using wolves as weapons in warfare. When the settlements came together to form the Empire, Gandry agreed and provided funds alongside St. Stylinson to assist with the integration efforts.

When House Durias was elected as the new Imperial Family, Gandry’s royal family voluntarily stepped down, ending the reign of House Y’thelia for the greater good of the Empire.

The Grand Sanctum of Alessa on fire during the War of the Empires

During the War of the Empires, Gandry was devastated. The Grand Sanctum of Alessa—containing some of the oldest Aetherian Scrolls —burned to the ground during the siege. Unfortunately, due to years of failing crops, slow reconstruction, and an inexperienced young government, Gandry was neglected, leading to a mass exodus into other, more prosperous settlements. Gandry fell apart and was almost removed from the Imperial maps until a group of settlers decided to rebuild the once-proud region.
