Tobbin may come off as bubbly, chatty, and full of boundless energy—but there’s more to him than meets the eye. A rare Landling, Tobbin was born with an innate connection to the world’s Light Energy, marked by his raccoon-like ears and tail, which twitch with every mood he tries (and usually fails) to hide.
He’s known for his ability to read auras, sensing the flows of Light and Dark that surround people and places. It’s a rare and difficult gift, one that makes him invaluable during strange or dangerous encounters—but also one that seems to weigh on him more than he’ll admit.
Those who spend time around Tobbin can’t help but notice the scars. A long one runs vertically from his eyebrow to his cheek, and there are more—small, faint lines across his arms and hands. He never talks about where they came from. Ask about them, and he’ll smile, change the subject, or bury himself in a conversation about cake.
Tobbin rarely travels alone, often seen alongside Valmin Thornvalley, a Ruul'yun scholar with a far more reserved personality. The two seem opposites at first glance, but there’s a quiet closeness between them—one that doesn’t need words. Tobbin lights up around Valmin, and Valmin, for all his stoic habits, never quite lets Tobbin out of his sight.
