			On a late summer evening, a thousand cycles ago, a farmer by the name of Stylinson was out tending to his animals. Stylinson was known in the village for his golden sword and shield, which he had crafted himself out of a large clump of gold found on his property. Despite the large amount of gold found in the village, the metal was unsuitable for weaponry, so Stylinson’s crude golden weapons were often mocked by others in the village.

			While refilling a trough for his horses, he heard a scream from the woods just outside the village walls. Without hesitation, he grabbed his sword and shield and headed into the woods. He found a young girl trapped by a group of Netherkind—skeletons, and a lone hissing creeper. The skeletons were taking aim, and the creeper was closing in. Stylinson, without hesitation, charged at the skeletons with his shield raised. The shield was able to protect the girl from the arrows, but the skeletons were relentless, and while he attempted to swing his sword at them, the sword was not sharp enough to do any damage. He stood no chance against them. The little girl was able to run away, but Stylinson was outnumbered.

			Stylinson was killed. When the village guards finally reached him, only his golden shield and sword remained.

			The girl he sacrificed his life for turned out to be none other than the Village Elder’s daughter.

			When a guard on patrol passed the spot Stylinson was killed just a few days later, the ground was covered in flowers.

			Only a few muunds later, the [[Brotherhood of Simonius]] canonized Stylinson, making him the first [[Aetherian Saints\|Saint of the Faith]].
